Robotic Case Packing

Placing products inside a master case or on a tray or into pockets of a thermoformer machine is one of the most labour-intensive tasks in food packaging and production. Robots allow these tasks to be automated while ensuring that quick changeovers can be accomplished in case of varying products. Also, in some applications, straight top loading or side loading might not do the job correctly and a flexible system may be requierd.

We have a number of pre-engineered palletizing cells available specifically designed for basic to high speed applications with the ability to build upto 4 pallets simultaneously. Robotic case packers can handle various products, including cartoned products, fresh produce, cheese blocks, deli meat and others.

RacerPack

The RacerPack is a modular solution for picking and packing products directly from flow wrappers into cartons, trays or cases. A single robot picking from a single collating conveyor can pack around 200 products per minute, adding a second collator allows a single robot to reach speeds around 400 parts per minute. It is based on the IRB 360 FlexPicker together with an indexing conveyor. The system is modular and can be set up in different layouts and combined with various conveyor set ups.

The High Speed P&P cell is a modular pre-engineered cell specifically designed for applications such as picking, packing, assembly and stamping. With payloads of upto 8kg and speed of upto 120 pick and places per minute per robot, this cell excels where in high speed applications. There is also a washdown option available for applications in the meat and dairy industries. Speak to our engineers to discuss how we can add a 5th axis to this robot to enable stacking at an angle.

6-axis Robotic Case Packer

This modular cell utilizes 6-axis robots with payloads upto 20kg to pick products and place them into a secondary case. This cell can also be used in traying and thermoformer loading applications. Other than the larger payload, the use of 6-axis robots in this cell allows the robot to reach into tall case and allows for gentle handling of products. With the higher payload, handling multiple products at the same time also becomes an option. The robotic cell is designed with sanitary design in mind and a sanitary option (fully stainless) is available.
